District Information
Welcome to the district web site for Lake Bluff School District 65. Having provided excellence in education for children for over 100 years, the District has a student enrollment of 935 students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade attend Lake Bluff Elementary School (LBES), students in grades sixth through 8th attend Lake Bluff Middle School (LBMS), and matriculating students attend Lake Forest High School District 67.
Key offerings at Lake Bluff 65 include the following:
Comprehensive core curriculum aligned to state and national standards in language arts, math, science, social studies, foreign language, physical education and the fine arts.
Art, music, drama, Wellness and Spanish taught in all grades beginning in Kindergarten.
Small school setting and classes sizes
Challenging core curriculum established to develop essential skills, social-emotional development and to encourage the growth of its students into life-long learners and people of good character.
In general, classes are grouped heterogeneously, though the curriculum does provide for accelerated placement in both Mathematics and English.
The program encompasses diverse exploratory subjects including classes in Art, Music, Drama,Band and Chorus.
Spanish and French language classes are available to all students.
Students with talents are offered a variety of enrichment opportunities and receive additional support from Math, Reading and Enrichment Specialists.
Students in need of additional assistance are supported by Special Education Teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, Social Workers, English Language Learners and Behavior Specialists.
