Illinois Science Assessment (Information available here)

Students in fifth and eighth grade will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment on Thursday, April 4, 2019.

About the Test

  • The test is not timed, but should take students around 45 minutes to complete with 15 minutes of lead time.  Students can take as long as they need to finish the exam (just like MAP) as long as they finish on the same day.
  • At LBES students will begin logging in at around 8:15 a.m. with the hope that they will be taking the test by 8:30 a.m.
  • At LBMS students will begin logging in at around 10:00 a.m. with the hope that they will be taking the test by 10:15 a.m.
  • All students have text-to-speech as a feature already turned on.  This means that all students need headphones.
  • All students have access to a line-reader tool.

We are confident that our students are prepared for these assessments.  You can help your child to prepare for this assessment by making sure that they get a good nights sleep and that they eat a healthy breakfast.
