What is a Blended Pre-Kindergarten Program?
A blended program means that there will be children in the class who are typically developing and others who have special needs. Two certified teachers will teach the class: one who is certified to teach special education students and one who is certified to teach typically developing children. The teachers will be teaching all of the children in the program regardless of whether or not they have a disability. Additionally, in a blended program, our speech/language pathologists, reading specialists, occupational therapists, and other support staff work with children in the classroom who require supports.
This program is perfect for a child who has an older sibling at Lake Bluff Elementary School or for a family who is looking to immerse their child in an environment with a highly talented staff that will teach a curriculum and program that will help to prepare them for entry into Kindergarten within our district!
Cost
Cost information for the 2022-2023 school year will be available after the Board of Education has approved the schedule of student fees. Students with an identified area of disability who are receiving services through an Individualized Educational Program (IEP) attend with a tuition waiver and must pay the cost of fees.
