Dolly Parton Library

We’re excited to share that Lake County families now have access to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a new early literacy initiative made possible through the Lake County Regional Office of Education Foundation (LCROEF). This beloved program sends free, high-quality books directly to children’s homes every month, from birth to age five, no matter the family’s income.

At the official launch event this week, community leaders and educators came together to celebrate this powerful investment in our youngest learners. “Access to books at an early age is one of the most effective ways to build literacy skills and prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond,” said Michael Karner, Regional Superintendent of Schools for Lake County.

The Lake County ROE Foundation works to remove barriers to learning by providing students with essentials like food, clothing, school supplies, and now books that spark a love for reading from day one.
