Do you provide transportation?

Elementary School
Bus transportation is provided to all students for a fee established annually by the Board of Education.  For a current list of school fees, please click here.

Middle School
Middle school students who live on the East side of Sheridan Road and South of East Blodgett Avenue are not able to ride the bus. All other students have access to bus service. Exceptions to these rules may be made to provide specialized transportation for students with disabilities as outlined in their individualized educational plans.

Parents and families wishing to sign up for transportation can do so through the registration process.

Do the students get to use technology during the day?

Yes!  In fact, we are excited to offer a 1:1 device program for students. In Kindergarten and first grade, students use iPads in the classroom.  Beginning in 2nd grade, students have a Chromebook that they are able to take home for use on school related items.

How does the District communicate with parents and families?

Lake Bluff School District 65 is committed to ongoing communication with its stakeholders. Parents and families can take advantage of the School Messenger system which is used to communicate information including school closings, newsletters, and upcoming events. Additionally, most teachers send home regular communications regarding what is happening in their classrooms. However, your communication preferences regarding your specific child should be discussed with your child’s teacher at the beginning of the school year.
